COVID-19

Our Commitment to Safety

Troop 360 is taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously by operating under the local Health Department’s orders to protect Troop members, their families, and their communities. As Scouts, we have a responsibility to ourselves and our communities to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Moving to Online Scouting

Troop 360 is keeping Scouts and their families engaged through virtual meetings and COVID-safe service projects. Our Troop meetings are held in-person outdoors and masked every other week on Thursday evenings. Scouts help each other complete rank advancements or plan a service project to help the community.

Troop 360 has completed 3 service projects during the course of the pandemic in an effort to continue contributing to the LA Jewish Community.

Service Projects during COVID-19

Mask Delivery

Scouts and their families packaged and delivered to B’nai-David Judea members’ homes free cloth masks in April.

COVID Info Pamphlet

For her Eagle project, Gabbi organized members and adult leaders from Troop 360 as well as B’nai-David Judea leadership to create an online COVID-19 medical and resource handbook for B’nai-David Judea synagogue and the LA Jewish community. “Coping with COVID” provides information on how to prevent spreading COVID-19, mental and physical health, domestic violence resources and helplines, useful occupational and financial help, senior citizen support, safe grocery shopping, and delivery resources.

Hanukkah Donut Fundraiser

For Hanukkah, Scouts raised money for the Troop by delivering Krispy-Kreme Hanukkah donuts (Sufganiyot) that community members ordered.
