Eagle Scouts – Boys

My Eagle Scout Project’s goal was to create healthy organic meals for underprivileged families. My volunteers and I first harvested organic crops from my backyard garden and prepared them for cooking. We decided on vegetable pot pies and made 35 to feed 4-5 people each. We took these pies to a community center and helped them prepare and package various food items for a food drive along with the pot pies.

For my Eagle Scout project, I led my troop in constructing a wooden bench and donated it to the House of the Book at the Brandeis-Bardin Institute. This bench will allow others to enjoy the scenic view for generations to come. I organized the troop in sanding, staining, and constructing the bench. Additionally, I engraved our troop number, and the Scouts BSA logo into the bench as well.

For my eagle scout project, I organized a series of choral performances at various facilities for the elderly. To do so, I solicited the help of my high school choir, who I must say did a terrific job. I felt that this was an important endeavor as music and entertainment is something not regularly brought to those who are unable to peruse it themselves, and so I sought to, even temporarily, fix that problem.
